It's a joy to be back in the familiar community at West 4th Physio! I was a team member from 1996 to 2000 before moving overseas with my family for work. Now, I'm excited to bring a wealth of experience in assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal presentations to new and familiar faces. My approach is person-centric and evidence-informed, focusing on helping individuals return to work and play. A typical day in my clinic involves meeting clients, listening to their concerns, and understanding their challenges. Through detailed assessment and analysis, I develop personalized treatment plans that align with each person's unique goals.
I graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia, in 1991 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy. Soon after exploring the world, I arrived in Vancouver. I loved it and stayed, undertaking my postgraduate training pathway to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT, 1999). I continued my advanced training, graduating with a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (Andrews University, USA, 2018). Physiotherapy is constantly evolving, and as a lifelong learner, I have prioritized furthering my ongoing education and staying at the forefront of my field throughout my career. Staying current across my career has benefited my clients and enhanced my job satisfaction.
My career in physiotherapy has taken me across the globe, from Australia to the UK, Canada, and Singapore. This international experience has enriched my practice, allowing me to work in various settings, including private practice, professional sports teams, Ministry of Health, and home and hospital settings. I also had the privilege of teaching in the physiotherapy programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) from 2018 to 2023. I am a registered physiotherapist in Australia, Canada, and Singapore and a proud member of the Australian, Canadian, and Singaporean Physiotherapy Associations.
