Suzanne graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2016. Prior to her graduate studies, she earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Queen’s University. Her passion for sports, particularly competitive volleyball which she played throughout her youth, ignited her interest in physical rehabilitation and wellness.
Suzanne is committed to staying at the forefront of physiotherapy practices, focusing notably on concussion management and vestibular rehabilitation. She has completed specialized training, including the Vestibular Rehabilitation course at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Shift Concussion Management Level Two course. These qualifications equip her to expertly handle complex cases that involve brain injuries and balance disorders. This includes concussions, BPPV, Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness, Vestibular Neuritis, Labyrinthitis and others.
In addition to her expertise in concussion and vestibular therapy, Suzanne has a keen interest in orthopedics and rehabilitative Pilates. She is trained in multiple levels of Merrithew Stott Pilates for both mat and reformer, which she skillfully integrates into her therapy sessions to enhance muscle activation and coordination. Her treatment style also includes advanced manual therapy and dry needling techniques, ensuring a comprehensive approach to physiotherapy that addresses a wide range of physical conditions.
Suzanne’s treatment philosophy combines manual therapy with active rehabilitation to optimize recovery and improve functional outcomes. She enjoys working with a diverse clientele, ranging from professional athletes to seniors, helping each to achieve their personal health and activity goals.
Outside the clinic, Suzanne leads an active lifestyle. She is an avid runner, swimmer, and cyclist. Her love for the outdoors extends to skiing and hiking in the mountains, activities that reflect her commitment to health, fitness, and the enjoyment of nature.
